The PRI has today announced the appointment of Monique Mathys-Graaff as Interim Chief Markets Officer, effective 18 May 2026.

Monique Mathys-Graaff brings over 25 years of senior leadership experience across global financial markets, with a strong track record of strategy delivery and execution at complex financial institutions. 

She joins the PRI at a pivotal time for the organisation’s Markets function, which plays a central role in engaging with signatories, policymakers and industry stakeholders, and in supporting the delivery of PRI’s global strategy. 

Monique has held senior leadership roles including Global Head of Sustainability Solutions at Willis Towers Watson and senior positions at the Impact Management Project and the Public Investment Corporation. She brings deep expertise in sustainable finance and responsible investment, including the implementation of ESG-related regulatory frameworks, alongside extensive experience working with both asset managers and asset owners. Across these roles, she has led Boards and multidisciplinary teams on investment strategy, advisory, management and ESG regulatory implementation. 

She has extensive experience working across both private sector and multi-stakeholder environments, helping to translate investment needs into actionable solutions that are market-relevant and globally applicable. 

In her role as Interim Chief Markets Officer, Monique will be based in London and will provide strategic leadership to the PRI’s global Markets function, ensuring continuity, alignment and delivery across regions.
