Capital with purpose: embedding sustainability for value creation
Interactive panel

As sustainability moves from risk management to a core value driver, private market investors are increasingly focused on how it translates into financial outcomes. Building on PRI’s Sustainability Value Creation framework, this session investigates how leading investors and asset managers embed sustainability across the investment lifecycle - from origination and ownership to exit. Through a practical case study and panel discussion with global and regional perspectives, the session will examine what “good” looks like in practice, how value is measured and realised, and the implications for sovereign and long‑term capital in the Middle East.

Transition planning in hydrocarbon economies: investor approaches in green & transition finance

Investors and developers will share where value is being created in technologies such as solar, hydrogen and low-carbon fuels, how they manage exposure to and engage with hard-to-abate sectors, and what conditions enable capital to be deployed at scale to support a low-carbon transition in the region and beyond.

Physical climate risk management in practice for investors
Masterclass

How do I assess the physical climate risk in my portfolio? Which data provider should I choose to do so? How do I engage with portfolio companies to manage known risks once assessed?
Physical climate risk is increasingly impacting investors’ portfolios in the region, especially in real estate and infrastructure asset classes. This interactive masterclass will showcase physical climate risk management practice through investor case studies, covering every step from assessment to management of risks. Attendees will also be invited to share their challenges and/or solutions in implementing a climate risk management process in their own firms during short and focused table discussions.

AI adoption in responsible investment best practice
Deep-dive

As ESG data volumes grow and expectations on responsible investment teams intensify, investors are increasingly turning to AI to support decision-making. This session addresses practical AI adoption in responsible investment through two investor case studies, exploring step by step: how to choose the best tools & data for your needs, implementation & capacity building, tangible benefits beyond cost savings, as well as key risks and their governance.

Overcoming barriers to standardisation and scaling up investments into Islamic sustainable finance products
Interactive panel

This session will examine the current landscape of Shariah-compliant sustainable products, focusing both on growing demand and uneven scalability. Case studies and an interactive panel will surface opportunities for value creation combining Shariah and RI approaches as well as real barriers - divergent Shariah interpretations, regional ESG data gaps and cross-jurisdictional frictions. The session will outline what is realistically achievable in the near term for investors seeking to scale allocations, particularly into Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries and Emerging Markets and Developing Economies (EMDEs).
